This is one of the most popular places in North America to learn whitewater kayaking. The training area for the Olympics course was designed and developed by the owners. The river is popular with paddlers from all over the globe.
It gave us the confidence and skills to go out on rivers alone, armed with the skills of t-rescue, brace, and a quick wet exit if we cannot roll.
Scuba Diving Course – Georgian Bay
You may have seen people learn to dive in the resort’s pool. It’s always puzzled us why people would wait to learn to scuba diver in Ontario when they could do it here.
It was a great experience to learn to scuba dive in Ontario’s lakes. Ontario’s lakes are full of shipwrecks. Visibility is good at 20 feet, and many wrecks can be found in shallower waters.
- We loved diving in these places:
- Georgian Bay
- Lake Simcoe
- St. Lawrence River
- There are excellent drift diving opportunities in Ontario on the St. Lawrence River and Niagara Rivers.

Ottawa is our favorite city in Ontario. While it is well-known for its Parliament buildings and Rideau Canals, the best thing to do in Ottawa is to jump on a vintage biplane so you can fly over tops in Ottawa and Gatineau. You can see Parliament Hill from the sky, perform some maneuvers in the air, and take in the beautiful scenery while wearing vintage gear.
