    Disney World at Christmas

Disney World during Christmas is a truly magical experience!

I just returned from my Disney World trip in early December, and I’m now posting this article to tell you about the top activities to take in and my top tips to make your trip as memorable as possible!

These are the top things that you should do when visiting Disney World this Christmas:

Attend Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party

The Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is an exclusive ticketed event at Magic Kingdom on select evenings between November and December. Purchasing a ticket for the party and park admission on the day is necessary.

Most nights, the event runs from 7 p.m. until 12 a.m. and is packed with various festive holiday activities! There’s the unique holiday fireworks display and a Christmas parade. Photos of the holidays and free food items like hot chocolate and cookies throughout the park.

Additionally, you can enjoy shorter lines for many rides and attractions within the park since only those with a specific wristband can ride after 7 pm.

The price of tickets to the party ranges between $95 and $125 and includes an entry fee to the park that day.

If this isn’t within your budget, you can still experience the celebration by staying in the park to watch the holiday parade and fireworks! The only catch is that you’ll not be able to go on rides or attractions or receive holiday treats for free without the wristband for the party.

See the Candlelight Processional at Epcot

Watching the Candlelight Processional in Epcot is unique to experience in Disney World at Christmas. This extraordinary show takes place in the America Pavilion of the World Showcase every night of the season of Christmas. It retells a Christmas story with a live orchestra, a choir, and a celebrity Narrator.

There are three shows of the Candlelight Processional each evening, and they’re always packed. You can buy the dinner package, which includes dinner before the show and reserved seating. Also, you can make a standby reservation and try to get an opportunity to sit! Many people line up early, mainly if the person narrating the day is favored.

I did not personally buy the meal package or even get a seat. I could view the show from the back of the seats. However, I didn’t have the best view. If I were to go back, I’d think about buying the dinner package to ensure seating for the show!

Version: One year later, I decided to buy a candlelight dinner Package that was well worth it!

Admire the Christmas Trees and Decorations

Every Disney park has its own gorgeous Christmas tree. It’s worth visiting every vacation park to view the entire collection! The decorations vary depending on the location of the location of the park. There are incredible festive decorations throughout the gardens. My personal favorites were those located at Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios.

Take a Ride on the Jingle Cruise

If you’re a big fan of the Jungle Cruise ride at Magic Kingdom, Make sure you take a trip during the season of Christmas to see it transform into the Jingle Cruise! The ride is decorated with Christmas ornaments and even a unique holiday-themed script; this ride truly is transformed for Christmas! Make sure you t at night to enjoy the full effect of the Christmas lights and decorations.

Stroll Around the Epcot World Showcase

The World Showcase at Epcot gisdecorated to celebrate the holidays, and you could easily spend an all-day cruising (and dining!) taroundthe globe.

Every country in the World Showcase has a special food court that serves specialties of the holiday season from the government. I’m always saying that Epcot is among the best places to visit without having an entry card. However, you can get a “passport” at the entrance to the World Showcase to look at the festive food and drinks served in every nation around the globe.

Germany is, in particular, stunning during the Christmas season. It will be like you’re in the European Christmas market and forget for a second that you’re in Florida!

    Enjoy Holiday Desserts

Many beautiful desserts available at Disney World are only offered during the holidays, such as the Christmas-themed cinnamon roll and green and red Churros. I loved Christmas cake pops at the Main Street Confectionery at Magic Kingdom. A trip to Disney World at Christmas is not complete without trying some festive desserts!

    Experience the “Snow”

While it’s not snowing in Orlando in winter, you can be a part of an enchanting winter landscape when you’re in Disney Word!

It’s a fact that both Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios are lit up with faux “snow” throughout the night and shouldn’t be missed! It occurs at the time of Mickey’s Merry Christmas on Main Street. At Hollywood Studios, it happens at the time of Sunset Season’s Greetings, which takes place at night during the regular hours of the park.

It’s hard to believe you’re in Florida because of how realistic this snowfall appears! With the festive Christmas decorations, it seems like a winter wonderland.

Tips for Visiting Disney World at Christmas

Now that you’ve figured out the top things to enjoy when you visit Disney World at Christmas, here are some strategies to make the most of your visit:

Be prepared for cold temperatures. While many days in November, December, and even upper sixties or 70s at Orlando, it could be pretty hard. When I was there in early December, temperatures were in the upper 40s on several days, and it was windy! It is recommended to bring at least a couple of sweaters and a jacket for winter travels to make sure you are warm.

Beware of crowds. The months between the New Year’s and Christmas holidays Eve are the busiest time to visit parks during Christmas. Look up the Disney timetable for crowds for the most optimal time to visit each garden. Tips: Avoid the Magic Kingdom on the day following Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party because many people stay until after the party to enjoy full days at the park rather than being forced to leave early due to the celebration.
